1. The Different Tamagotchi Families
There are 9 different families. Blended Family, Mame family, Meme
family, Violet family, Kuchipa family, Ninja
(neglected)
family, Large (overfed) family & Petite (underfed) family.

How do you get Pure families?

To
get the Mame family, marry a 100% bonded Mametchi to a
Chantochi.

To
get the Meme family, marry a 100% bonded Memetchi to a
Mumutchi.
-
To
get the Kuchipa family, marry a 100% bonded Kuchipatchi
to a Yonepatchi.
-
To
get the Violet family, marry a 100% bonded Violetchi
to a Sukatchi.
NOTE: The marriages can't work backwards.
E.g.
Marrying a Chantotchi to a Mametchi will NOT result
in a Mame family.

How can the family get a PET?
If
you want a pet, you MUST have a pure family. You have
to have a bonding of 100%. When you press the C button you
will see the family interacting with the pet. It also appears in
some of the animations. That is the ONLY way your family
plays with it.

How do I raise the bonding level of my family?
Raising the bonding level can be done by:

Playing games (and winning them)

Playing with certain items
(listed in the area below)

Respond to Training calls
- When your tama beeps and you see the speech bubble with a ? or
a ♫ in it, go to the lit up icon (bottom left-hand
corner) and choose one of the 3 items shown. The 1st one is
SMART, 2nd is CHEERFUL, 3rd is EASY GOING. These determine the
type of character you'll get when they evolve.
NOTE:
Bonding level can decrease, so be sure to always interact with your
tama family.

How can my tama get married?
To
marry your tamagotchi, go to the TV icon and select "Dating Show".
You will have to select which member of your family you wish to
marry off. The matchmaker, aka Ms. Busybody, will provide a partner for you. If
you choose the character she presents to you, you'll watch the
"wedding" and then an egg or eggs will be left behind.
NOTE: You have only 3 tries per day.
6.
Gone back to Tama Planet?
If
you see a UFO on your screen, and none of the icons are accessible,
then your tama family went back to their home, Tama Planet. To hatch
new eggs just press A and C together.

8. Why
do I only have ONE egg?
Having
one egg is normal. The 1st Gen you always have 3 eggs (blended family).
2nd Gen you get 1, 2 or 3 eggs. From pure families you get 2 eggs. The
Space family only supplies 1 egg. This is still a family because the
parents are still there for food, medicine, certain animations and the 2
parent games.
9. How
do I adjust the contrast on the screen?
To
adjust the contrast press B and C together. The A
and C buttons can then be used to ajdust the contrast to what
best suits your eyes.
10.
How many items can the V5 store?
The V5
stores an infinite number of items. In other words , there is no limit
to the number of items that your tama can own.
11.
What should I do to conserve my battery?
-
Turn the sound off when
connecting, playing games, entering passwords, using anything in the
TV icon.

When your tamas are asleep, press
B to go to the time screen. It uses less pixels.
12.
How does the V5 PAUSE?
In
order to pause your tamagotchi do the following steps. Go to the
TV icon. Selecet Travel Show. After the tour click on Go.
The TV should will then turn off and your tamagotchi should lock the
door. A button is inaccesible in this mode. You can view the time
by pressing B. In order to unpause your tamagotchi, press the
button C. It will ask you "Come Back"? Select Yes.

Can V5 connect with ANY other tamagotchi version?
The
